Certified and Experienced Technicians

When your home suffers water damage, it's crucial to enlist the help of a professional restoration team as soon as possible. Not only will they help to mitigate the damaged property, but they can also provide guidance and support through the entire restoration process.

Tips for Storm Damage Restoration and Clean Up

Even if the floors or drywall look dry, it doesn't mean that all the moisture is gone. Moisture evaporates and becomes a vapor that stays in the air. Without dehumidification, this moisture can absorb back into the materials of the home and continue to damage your property. Mold growth would begin to form and you would have a larger issue to deal with.

The dehumidification process is essential for preventing mold growth and removing excess moisture from your home.

When dealing with water damage, it’s extremely important to take the correct steps to avoid further damage. To mitigate the damage, call an experienced   water damage restoration company  with highly trained staff who can quickly start the restoration process.

Tips to protect yourself and your family during water damage:

  • Make sure it's safe before you turn off the air handling system or HVAC. Don't to come in contact with sewage or contaminated items.

  • Wash your hands properly after any contact.

  • Wear protective clothing, goggles, boots, gloves and a respirator if necessary when working with contaminated items or cleaning up the area.

  • Do not consume any food that has been left out in a wet environment.

  • Do not turn on fans to try and dry things out.

Mitigation Services:

  • Mold Remediation

Mold remediation means the removal, cleaning, sanitizing, demolition, or other treatment, including preventive activities, of mold or mold-contaminated matter that was not purposely grown at that location.

  • Mold Testing

Broadly speaking, most mold testing involves taking a sample of either the air or a surface. Essentially, a mold inspector "tests" the air or surface to find out what kind of mold exists and/or if the mold found is able to grow in the area tested.

  • Water Damage Restoration

Water damage restoration includes the complete process of water cleanup from beginning to end–(removal of water, drying items and structures, and moving restored items back). Water remediation is a term equivalent to water damage restoration.

  • Structural Drying

Structural drying is the process of removing excess water and moisture from materials that make up a structure, until it is dry enough to meet a certain standard of dryness and safety. If your home has been flooded, a professional flood damage restoration company can thoroughly dry out the area to get rid of the water and any extra moisture that could lead to mould growth.

  • Crawl Encapsulation

Crawl space encapsulation refers to the addition of a heavy-duty moisture barrier to the dirt floor of your crawl space, sealed foundation vents, insulated walls, and special crawl space dehumidifier(s). Crawl space encapsulation is most effective when you seal the space completely.

  • Smoke Damage Restoration

A smoke damage clean up service consists of professional smoke restoration techniques including cleaning, deodorizing, and refinishing/restoring hard furnishings. A light coating of soot can be removed easily by the correct specialized techniques.

  • Fire Damage Restoration

Fire mitigation removes fuels around your house that can create increased heat and exposure to your home in the event of a wildland fire. Wildland fires include grass fires, brush fires and forest fires.

Avoid staying in the affected area if you have respiratory issues ems like asthma, allergies etc.

  • Do not use newspapers to dry wet surface to avoid transfer of ink.

FAQ's

  • How does the water damage restoration process word?

Water repair or water cleanup is a multi-phase process. The first step is to remove all standing water from the flooring, wet carpets, and other affected materials.

Once the water is removed, dehumidifiers and other specialized equipment are used to dry the areas. This can take multiple days, depending on the amount of water and space involved.

After the process is complete, we use moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras (when applicable) to make sure your home is thoroughly dry.

Fixing water damage may also involve drywall removal, carpet cleaning, wood floor repair, odor control, air duct cleaning, and mold removal.

  • Can water damage can be hidden? If so, what are the signs?

Some signs of hidden house flood water damage include peeling paint and wallpaper, visible mold, moisture and condensation, musty odors, and moisture or dampness in your carpet or other floorings.

  • Will Water Damage to My Property Cause a Mold Outbreak?

If your home’s water damage is taken care of immediately, mold outbreaks can usually be prevented.
